The story was predictable, well pretty predictable but it is still nice to watch. I give it a B for a grade. It is close to a chick flick, but more on the funnier side. Well, for one thing anne hathaway and kate hudson are pretty to look at, seeing them wear gowns and coats while walking in the streets of New York was fun in itself, well for women.
The writer in my view tried to make sense of the characters, kate hudson was a lawyer ( legal consultant) head strong and with a huge bank account , while anne hathaway was a middle school teacher who always got bullied. The characters were interesting, and they tried to make it as funny as possible, but not as funny as Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson combined ( Anger management) but it was worth a shot.
LIke my title, the movie was indeed sweet, charming---but would only work its charm for women in their 20's and 30's. The ending of the movie was great by the way, I would have loved to see more cat fights and edgy stunts coming from this two gorgeous and lovely actresses. I would recommend this only for a person who wants to have a light movie after watching dramatic and oscar winning movies. its nice to have a break once and a while and not think.
all in all, i say there is no harm in watching the movie( except for men) and this movie is not for teenagers by the way, they would have a hard time understanding the plot, this movie works well for the working class.
